61 Habits To Track In Your Bullet Journal
What is a Habit Tracker?
A habit tracker is a page in a journal or diary, typically in a calendar type format, where one can write down some goals they want to achieve or habits they want to break over a weekly or monthly period. People generally track between five to twenty habits at a time and each day they accomplish their goal/habit they tick, cross or colour in the corresponding day it was achieved on.
Why Should You Use A Habit Tracker?
A habit tracker is essential because it:
- helps you make progress on goals by motivating you to improve your habit streak
- makes yourself become accountable for your goals
- gives you a visual cue which can remind you to act
- is satisfying to tick, cross or colour in the box – you are recording your success in the moment
How do you think elite athletes get better at their respective sports?
They track, record and analyse their progress. This is much the same as a habit tracker. It gives you feedback about your goals and highlights if you are making progress or need to change path. Forming a habit takes a long period of time and people often give up as you don’t see instant success. A habit tracker can help you stay on track by giving you some immediate feedback.
