This being said there are some cases that have a thin plastic or silicon case that does cover the magnetic charging bar and Apple Pencil can still be charged through. However you should still be wary of this and read through the whole product description to ensure that the stylus can be charged. Some product photos have the Apple Pencil balancing over the case but this does not mean that it will stay in place/charge through the plastic.
